FAQ: Computer and Network Service

Question: Who can use KUWiN ?
Answer: KU student and staff who has Nontri account can use KUWiN.

Question: Where can I see a KUWiN service area ?
Answer: OCS provide a selfservice checking KUWiN service area via http://kuwin.ku.ac.th/pro 

Question: I would like to use wi-fi on my computer notebook and smart phone. How should I do ?
Answer: You can setup KUWiN via  http://helpdesk.ku.ac.th/webpage/ or on facebook Click

Question: Why do I register a MAC-Address ?
Answer: In order to confirm and identify the user or the administrator who using that computer for Office Computer Services can return an information to you in case of you has got any problems with the security of the system.

Question: How about quota of Computer and Smart Phone for register network ?
Answer: KU Student will get  1 device for LAN Network and 3 devices for KUWiN (Wireless Network) and KU Staff will get 3 devices for LAN Network and 5 devices for KUWiN (Wireless Netowrk)

Question: If i would to access to Internal KU Network throught Home Computer. What should I do ?

Answer: In order to use internal KU Network such as Checking Grade, Searching academic report, ฺBorrow-Return Books at Library and other Information should setup VPN on the Home computer. See more information and manual via http://vpn.ku.ac.th

Question: Where can I download a copyright program ?
Answer: OCS provide license software  for KU student and staff who has Nontri Account for supporting learning and teaching via topic Services > Computer and Network Services via https://download.ku.ac.th  and https://antivirus.ku.ac.th/
Question: If  I have a technical problem. What should I do ?
Answer: You can contact to HELPDESK via phone number 0-2562-0951-6 Att. 2541-3 e-Mail. help@ku.ac.th or 2nd Floor at Counter Services, OCS Building (Monday – Friday 8.30 a.m. – 8.30 p.m. (Closed at 12.00 p.m. – 1 p.m.) and Saturday 8.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. (Closed at 12.00 p.m. – 1 p.m.) )
Question: I would like to pre-booking for using computer at KITS. What should I do ?
Answer: KU satudent and staff who has Nontri account can pre-booking computer at KITS via  https://kits.ku.ac.th/booking/ (1 week in advance)


Question: What is facility of KITS ?
Answer: KITS provide printing service (BW color), scanner, subgroup training room, training room. KU student and staff who has Nontri account can using prepaid (money quota) for this services.

Question: How long do I use computer at KITS ?
Answer: You can using an hour per round but not time limit per day
